The leading MMA organization in Latin America, LUX Fight League , will be opening the year from the Explanda Theater this Friday, February 2 with a luxury stellar clash: champion Edgar “Cebollero” Delgado and Francesco Patrón will compete for the featherweight title.
However, beyond the main duel, we will also have a highly anticipated co-feature with two old acquaintances of the company and veterans of this sport: Carlos “Messi” Cañada and Pablo “Gallo Negro” Sabori.

Carlos Cañada (12-14-0) made his debut in LUX Fight League four years ago. It was in February 2020 ( LUX 008 ) with a loss to Masio Fullen . Since then, the warrior nicknamed “Messi” fought under the flag of other organizations and, now, he will make his triumphant return to the most important company on the continent. He arrives with a record of two wins and two losses in his last four appearances, and he wants to show that he still has a lot of stuff on the reel.
Regarding Pablo Sabori (14-7-1), it premiered on LUX in September, also during 2020 (LUX 010). His victory against Alejandro Marroquin would open the doors for him to be part of the subsequent event ( LUX 011 ) but an unfortunate clash of heads with Erivan Pereira would leave that fight in No Contest . Now, “El Gallo Negro” – with a past in the UFC TUF reality show – returns to the black and gold cage to face another MMA veteran.
It is enough to say that between Cañada (37 years old) and Sabori (31 years old) they have almost 50 fights as professionals! Experience!
