Reality Fighting is back in Mashantucket, Connecticut this Saturday, May 21, starting at 8 PM at Mohegan Sun Casinos, and as always promises to be an excellent show with some great fights between local fighters. For those of you in the East Coast who have not checked out an RF show before, you do not know what you are missing and the shows are worth the trip!
At this event, two titles are on the line, as Oz Pariser and Joe Proctor battle for the lightweight title, while Joe McGann and Ryan Quinn meet for the welterweight title. Proctor is a rising up and comer in the area who is 5-1 now, fighting at the last RF show and defeating Eric Fama by guillotine choke in the second round. His opponent is nicknamed “The Wizard”, and it might be because he has finished all four of his fights by submission, three of those by triangle choke. Quinn’s last appearance was a win over Mike Winters in Bellator 39, and the 5-2 fighter will have his hands full with 3-1 McGann, who last fought in December with a decision win over Kevin Horowitz (incidentally, Quinn also beat Horowitz a few months earlier, winning by TKO). The event will also feature a women’s super fight with Kaline Medeiros vs. Marianna Kheyfets. For those who missed the last Reality Fighting show from February 26, portions of the event will air on Comcast SportsNet New England on the following dates: Fri, May 13 @ 9PM, Thu, May 19 at 8PM.
