The event was originally referred to as Rizin 46. At the press conference on January 31th, it was announced that the March event will now be referred to as Rizin Landmark 9 while RIZIN 46 will take place on April.
A lightweight non-title bout between current champion Roberto Satoshi Souza and UFC veteran Keita Nakamura is scheduled to headline the event.
