LUX Fight League returns in 2023, and it does so with a pure “action” event, we are talking about LUX 030 , from the Showcenter Complex, in Monterrey.
The organization led by Joe Mendoza will be returning to "la sultana del Norte" next Friday , February 3 , through a billboard full of spices, with a title at stake and with the reappearance of many of the great stars of the house.
In the stellar clash, for the middleweight title , the champion Iván “Bam Bam” Valenzuela (8-2-0) and Nayib “Cachorro” López (14-0-0) will be facing each other.
The "Bam Bam" is a true athlete "of the house" who has been in LUX since his debut in 2018 ( LUX 003 ), with victory against Diego Velazco, and has spent almost his entire career with the Latin promoter, first at welterweight and now at middleweight. He was the inaugural champion of the 185-pound division ( LUX 019 ) and, after a spell at Dana White's Contender Series , he returns to continue making history. He has 8 wins as a professional in LUX , 7 of them in the first round .
Iván Valenzuela will face a "Cachorro" López who arrives undefeated and who, in addition, already had a stint at LUX a few years ago, when he defeated Alan "Tiburón Blanco" Domínguez in 2018 ( LUX 002 ). The last fight that Nayib fought in the middleweights was in March 2022 against "Woody" Chávez , whom he defeated by submission in the fourth round.
In addition to the main duel, the LUX 030 gala will also have many other highly attractive fights prepared for us, such as the co-feature between Francesco Patrón (9-0-0) and Emmanuel Rivero (11-8-0) for the featherweight division. .
The “Baby Face” Patrón is another of the great young talents to watch, he accumulates the best undefeated record in the company with 6 wins and 0 losses and has been forged training under two enormous LUX champions , such as Diego Lopes and Alessandro Coast. He awaits him, without a doubt, a championship destiny .
In the rival corner, trying to break down that mark, will be the Argentine rookie in LUX Emmanuel Rivero , who comes from two consecutive victories against Roger García and Luis Meraz.
In the bantamweight division , César Vázquez (6-2-0) will be facing off against André Barquero (7-2-0) . Vázquez is looking for a victory that will leave him at the gates of a title opportunity and Barquero , for his part, returns to the cage after a two-year inactivity and will seek to weigh his international experience.
Also, in what will be his welterweight debut , the popular Alan “Tiburón Blanco” Domínguez (7-4-0) will face Antonio “Thunder” Suárez (12-8-0). The two seek to put their name on the "map" of contenders for that division's inaugural title.
Closing out the main card, in a bantamweight clash , Irvin “The Storm” Amaya (9-2-0) will try to make his title aspirations clear when he clashes gloves against Peruvian LUX rookie Juan "Sticky" Diaz (8-1-1). And they will do the same, in lightweight , Carlos "Drago" Camargo (5-1-0) versus Román "Gallo Negro" Córdova (9-8-0).
The night in Monterrey will begin, as usual, with the LUX CHALLENGUE card, and an outstanding main fight between the unbeatable Ramón “Bombardero” Cardozo (10-4-0) who will put his perfect record in LUX to the test -he is five to zero- against another well-known name in the house, such as Luis Rey Gallegos (7-6-0) who will play his 9th fight in the organization.
The "Cuijen" Jefferson Vargas (2-0-0) vs. Alejandro "Toro" Corrales (3-2-0) at featherweight ; Damián Fernández (professional debut) – Carlos Marley Márquez (7-9-0) and Ricardo Hurtado (2-1-0) – Eduardo Chapa García (2-1-0) at bantamweight ; and, debuting in the local cage, Sherlyn Sánchez (0-3-0) and Susset Gómez (professional debut) for the strawweight category .
