--- UFC Fight Night 142: dos Santos vs. Tuivasa is an upcoming mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that will be held on December 1, 2018 at Adelaide Entertainment Center in Adelaide, Australia. Fight Card Main Card (Fox Sports 1) Heavyweight Junior dos Santos vs. Tai Tuivasa Heavyweight Mark Hunt vs. Justin Willis Light Heavyweight Mauricio Rua vs. Tyson Pedro Welterweight Jake Matthews vs. Tony Martin Featherweight Suman Mokhtarian vs. Sodiq Yusuff Light Heavyweight Paul Craig vs. Jim Crute Preliminary Card (Fox Sports 1) Welterweight Yushin Okami vs. Alexey Kunchenko Flyweight Wilson Reis vs. Ben Nguyen Welterweight Keita Nakamura vs. Salim Touahri Flyweight Elias Garcia vs. Kai Kara-France Early Preliminary Card (UFC Fight Pass) Lightweight Mizuto Hirota vs. Christos Giagos Lightweight Alex Gorgees vs. Damir Ismagulov Background The event will be the second that the promotion has contested in Adelaide, following UFC Fight Night: Miocic vs. Hunt in May 2015. A heavyweight bout between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos and Tai Tuivasa is expected to serve as the event headliner. Ross Pearson was expected to face Joseph Duffy at the event. However, Pearson announced on 7 November that he was out of the bout due to a broken nose and subsequent surgery to correct the injury, and he was replaced by newcomer M-1 Global Lightweight Champion Damir Ismagulov. In turn Duffy pulled out of the event citing rib injury. Ismagulov will now face fellow newcomer Alex Gorgees. Ashkan Mokhtarian was scheduled to face promotional newcomer Kai Kara-France at the event. However, Mokhtarian pulled out of the fight on 20 November citing injury.
