BELLATOR MMA returns to Paris with a talent-rich card headlined by the return of former Middleweight World Champion Gegard Mousasi against No. 2 ranked Fabian Edwards, who hopes to soon join his brother Leon as world champion. In the co-main event, Parisian Mansour Barnaoui battles ex-titleholder Brent Primus in a Lightweight World Grand Prix quarterfinal. Plus, former Welterweight World Champion Douglas Lima makes his middleweight debut against Costello Van Steenis, and France’s Thibault Gouti clashes with Kane Mousah.
A middleweight title eliminator bout between former Bellator Middleweight Champion Gegard Mousasi and Fabian Edwards is expected to headline the event.
A Bellator Lightweight World Grand Prix quarterfinal bout between Mansour Barnaoui and Sidney Outlaw was expected to serve as the co-main event. However at the end of February, Outlaw tested positive for banned substances and was suspended, and was replaced by former Bellator Lightweight Champion Brent Primus.
