Background
The 38-year-old Dejan Kajic (14-7-2) from Bosnia, who now lives in Vancouver, B.C., is set to defend his BFL super welterweight title against JC Llamas (9-7) in the main event of BFL 74. Kajic is riding a six-fight winning streak and coming off a first-round knockout win back in April at BFL 72 to defend his belt.
Due to the pandemic and canceled fights, Llamas (9-7) hasn’t competed since Sept. 2021 and his last fight was a bare-knuckle boxing fight. Yet, he has been training the entire time and when he got the call to face Dejan Kajic (14-7-2) in the main event of BFL 74 for the BFL super welterweight title, he immediately accepted it.
#3 ranked BFL Featherweight Taylor Christopher will face the BFL world Featherweight champion Mateo Vogel for the belt in the co-main event. Mateo Vogel (6-2) is one of the top featherweight prospects in all of Canada and is now set to defend his title for the first time against Taylor Christopher (2-0) in the BFL 74 co-main event on Wednesday night.
Vogel is coming off one of the most exciting fights on the Canadian MMA scene this year where he picked up the BFL featherweight title in a crazy, wild back-and-forth fight back at BFL 72 in April against Nicolas Ouellet.
