Legacy Fighting Alliance 121: Brown vs. Jones is an upcoming mixed martial arts event scheduled for January 14, 2022 at The Factory in Deep Ellum in Dallas, Texas, United States. Fight Card Main Card (UFC Fight Pass) Welterweight Chris Brown (174)*** vs. Steve Jones (169.8) ***Bout will continue and Brown will pay a penalty to Jones. Featherweight Bout Elijah Johns (150.4)*** vs. Brandon Phillips (146) ***Bout will continue and Johns will pay a penalty to Phillips. Bantamweight Alden Coria (135.4) vs. Michael Cyr (135.6) Bantamweight Isaiah Gutierrez (135.8) vs. Keeton Gorton (135.4) Featherweight John Pham (145.2) vs. Anvar Boynazarov (142.4) Heavyweight Moustapha Seghor (229.2) vs. Jakori Savage (261.4) Preliminary Card Middleweight Zumarr Archer (185.2) vs. Akeem Lewis (184.6) Welterweight Caleb Jensen (171) vs. Harrison Layne (169) Background The main event will feature a welterweight showdown between top prospects Chris “Breezy the Future” Brown (7-3) and Steve “The Average” Jones (8-2). LFA officials implemented strict health codes, safeguards, and Coronavirus (COVID-19) testing protocols throughout the week. In accordance with these guidelines, every athlete competing at LFA 121 has been cleared for competition. Every fighter, except Chris Brown and Elijah Johns, made their contracted weight when they stepped on the scales. Brown and Johns will now forfeit a portion of their purses to their opponents Steve Jones and Brandon Phillips respectively. LFA 121 will proceed with eight bouts, which includes the welterweight showdown at the top of the card. The original main event between Aaron McKenzie and Joshua Jones, that was set at lightweight (155-pounds), was scratched during Fight Week. This happened when Jones informed the promotion that he would not be able to make the 155-pound mark and a catchweight bout could not be agreed upon between the two fighters.
