I swear that I used the official start-time on both UFC.com UFCfightpass and ESPN web sites.

What time does the preliminary fights start officially? And where is that information published?

I simply checked the UFC homepage. I use the Canadian based version. They state quite simply that the prelims start at 7PM EST and the main even at 10PM EST. That would mean that the prelims will will start in 1 day 22 hours and 30 minutes.

I am sorry for stating the incorrect time myself when I messaged you. The correct time left until the prelims start is 1 day 10 hours and 25 minutes as of the moment. You have the competition closing in time for the main event to start.

The closing time of the competition has just been moved forward 3 hours. So we should be safe now in theory...

Thank you Dent for playing it safe and also making the time adjustment. All of the UFC events have the start times posted on their homepage in the days leading up to the event. They always post the start time in EST, regardless of where the venue is being held. When you are ready to announce a new competition you not only have to factor in your own time zone and if it is not EST make the necessary time adjustment relevant to your own time zone. From there it should be quite simple to factor in the number of hours left until the event starts. If you are looking at countdown clocks on other reputable sites it is also possible that the live feeds relevant to the countdown are delayed. Regardless thank you for keeping this competition up and running in this time of a world pandemic. I am sure all of the front runners in the competition will also appreciate the time change that you made today as well. Anyway God bless and continue to stay safe.

I am looking at UFC.COM and UFCFIGHPASS.COM for fricks sake!!! If they are wrong what can I do?

In a worse case scenario and also to simplify things just go to MMA Tapology. They list the start time of each event and also the time left for their own members to make their picks if it is a ufc event. The time change you made now has the deadline for getting picks in the same as that posted on their site. Hope that helps.
