Bellator 237: Fedor vs. Rampage is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to take place on December 29, 2019 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Michael Page vs. Shinsho Anzai Postliminary Card Catchweight (58 kg) Yusaku Nakamura vs. Makoto Shinryu Heavyweight 120 kg Shoma Shibisai vs. Sergey Shemetov Super Atomweight 49 kg Kanna Asakura vs. Jayme Hinshaw Catchweight 68 kg (Kickboxing) Ren Hiramoto vs. Takahiro Ashida Welterweight Ryuichiro Sumimura vs. Jon Tuck Strawweight Haruo Ochi vs. Jarred Brooks Women's Super Atomweight Andy Nguyen vs. Ai Shimizu Lightweight Yusuke Yachi vs. Hiroto Uesako Background The event was announced by Bellator on October 9, 2019 and will be the company's debut in Japan. The event will be co-promoted by the Japanese mixed martial arts organization Rizin Fighting Federation. It will feature a heavyweight bout between former Pride FC Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton Jackson. A 160 lb catchweight bout between former Bellator Lighweight Champion Michael Chandler and former WEC and UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson was expected to take place at the event. It would be the rematch from Bellator 165 where Chandler won by Split decision over Henderson to remain the lightweight champion. However, Henderson pulled out on December 5 due to injury. Chandler will now face Sidney Outlaw. |
